  • Arranges cargo insurance if necessary
  • Prepares transport documentation (waybill, air waybill, bill of lading, etc)
  • Deals with border security on your behalf
  • Classifies your goods
  • Registers your goods for import in the USA
  • Prepares customs documentation
  • Clears goods at US customs
  • Pays duties and taxes on your behalf (if applicable)

What information they need to give me a quote?

Freight quotes are usually very detailed. However, it is normal if you pay more or less than the quote due to the fluctuation in carriers’ tariffs, currency exchange rates, fuel prices, etc.
Customs brokerage rate usually does not include US duties and taxes (if they are applicable).
